4-YEAR-OLD FAN IS DEVASTATED WHEN MOM TELLS HER THAT RUSSELL WILSON IS MARRIED

They say that there are fans, and then there are super-fans. Well, it’s safe to say that Kaia Coffey is most definitely a Russell Wilson super-fan — and maybe even a little more.

When Kaia’s mother, Antoinette Coffey, broke the news that Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson married singer Ciara, the devastated 4-year-old threw her head down and sobbed for the loss of her “boyfriend.”

Antoinette shared the video of her breakdown on Facebook with the caption: “We broke the news to Kaia today that Russell Wilson got married. She didn’t take it very well.” The adorable (and slightly heartbreaking video) has amassed over 42k views in less than a week.

Antoinette tells Babble that Kaia first fell in love with Wilson last year when she realized they something in common.

“My daughter first became a fan of Russell Wilson when she turned 3 years old. She noticed that he had a number three on his shirt, so she began telling people that because he had a number three on his shirt and she was 3, he was her boyfriend and she was going to marry him. She was not shy about telling people of her love for him. After she turned 4, she continued to adore him, because of the person he is and all of the good things he does for children.”

When news broke of Russell and Ciara’s marriage, Antoinette says that family and friends started to ask if Kaia had heard the news, and that’s how she got the idea to tell Kaia and film her reaction.

Obviously, Kaia did not disappoint.

“We all cannot believe that [the video] has been so popular,” says Antoinette. “Although Kaia doesn’t really understand what going viral means, she thinks that it is funny to see herself on TV.”54
Kaia isn’t the only member of the Coffey family, from Olympia, Wash., to love the football team. “We are all Seahawks fans, especially my husband, David,” says Antoinette. “Any time the Seahawks are on TV we are all watching.”

Needless to say, Kaia’s 6-year-old big sister, Ohana, is also a huge fan:Here’s hoping Kaia’s broken heart has a speedy recovery.
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
