MzVee posted a video of her encounter with Yemi Alade where the latter is seen looking surprised and asking “Oh you are MzVee” before hugging the Ghanaian dancehall artist. Although the video posted on Instagram by Mzvee had no sound, her fans read Yemi Alade’s lips in the video and started slamming her for “acting as if she didn’t know MzVee”.
MzVee and Yemi Alade are both nominated for the ‘Best International Act: Africa’ gong. MzVee also shared photos and videos with fellow nominees AKA from South Africa and Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania. She also had a celebrity star-crush moment with American comedian, Fonzworth Bentley.
