A founding member of Peoples Democratic Party ,Prof.Jerry Gana, has told the ousted National Chairman of the party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff to please leave the party alone for peace to return.Gana, Also a member of the party's board of Trustees says PDP need its space to reorganize itself and move forward.
Speaking in Abakaliki,The Ebonyi State Capital, When he accompanied the State Governor Dave Umahi, on the inspection and commissioning of project. Gana said of the crisis rocking the party:'' I am very, very confident that it will soon be over.
'' I like to place on record the role of your Governor here, Together with other governors who are working very hard to ensure this'''
Further more, he said the group was only avoiding the mistakes of 2015 and maintained that it was identifying with the Resolutions of the National convention held in port harcourt,Rivers State, Gana informed the PDP Caucus in the National Assembly and the Governor of the party had met in Abuja and agreed that the PDP MUST CONTINUE TO EXIST..
He pleaded with Senator Ali Modu Sheriff to give PDP some peace''' Adding that congresses will be held with next 90 days in areas where there where not properly done.
According to him. National convention that will give the party a new elected leadership.
