SENATE WITHDRAWS ANTI-SOCIAL MEDIA BILL

The senate withdrew the frivolous petition bill(prohibition,e.t.c)Bill 2015 and suspended further consideration on it. The decision to withdraw the bill followed the report of the committee  on judiciary,human rights and legal matters which recommended its withdrawal.
Deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu ,who presided over the plenary, also backed the withdrawal.
The bill was sponsored by Senator Bala Ibn Na'Allah set the senate against the public when it passed
through second reading last year.
