ALLEGED N400 MILLION FRAUD:METUH RUSHED TO HOSPITAL AS COURT SHIFTS TRIAL TO MAY23

In Abuja The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh almost slumped on his way to the dock on thursday, a situation that force justice Okon Abang to adjourn his trial until may 23.
Chief Metuh who is answering to a seven count criminal  charged by the EFCC , started vomiting shortly after he arrived  the court for continuation of his defence.
His lawyer Mr  Emeka  Etiaba, SAN ,pleaded the court for an adjournment, he told the court Metuh health condition worsened on wednesday night.
 He said the defendant was promptly rushed to the hospital by the Brother In-law Whose name was given as Mr Andy Aghaji.
 EFCC,alleged that the defendant received 400 million from the office of the National Security Adviser,ONSA, prior to the 2015 general election.
It alleged that the N400 MIllion traced to Metuh company account was part of about $2.1Billion earmarked for the purchased of arms to prosecute the war against Insurgency in the country.
The Anti-graft agency told the court that the fund was electronically wired from an account ONSA operated with the Central Bank Of Nigeria,CBN, to Metuh, via acct no. 0040437573, which is firm operated with Diamond Bank Plc.
However,Metuh, through his witnesses, maintained that the money was released to him on the order of the ex-President Jonathan for media campaigned. the witnesses are Dr Toyin Okupe, the Senior Specal adviser to the former President Goodluck Jonathan,
Owing to the development the court  also shifted his trail the next day to enable him to assess treatment at the National Hospital Abuja.Metuh was said to have complained about waist pain.
